Facial Fillers

DermaCarewellness Medical Spa offers a range of injectable treatments that can help you look younger. In just minutes, you can take years off your appearance—and enjoy results that last.

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm was approved in 2006 by the FDA as a safe option for softening wrinkles, plumping lips, and maintaining a youthful appearance – and since then, its popularity has skyrocketed. The Juvéderm procedure is simple, painless, and requires little to no recovery time. Juvéderm uses hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in our bodies and absorbs 1,000 times its weight in water. When this is injected into the problem areas of the face, it adds volume to the area, smoothing out wrinkles, lines and folds. Hyaluronic acid has also been found to maintain or even accelerate the forming of new collagen. Our clients have been thrilled with the results, which are immediately visible. The Juvederm family of fillers includes Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Voluma, Vollure, and Vobella.

Restylane®

Restylane was developed in Sweden, and since 1996 has helped millions of patients in 70 countries have younger–looking skin. The science behind Restylane is hyaluronic acid, which is present in youthful skin but recedes and changes in structure as we age. Restylane gel injections boost your natural supply of hyaluronic acid, which will smooth out signs of aging and brings out the best of your features. The Restylane family of fillers includes Restylane-L, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Defyne, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Silk.

Sculptra

Sculptra® works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra helps stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production to help restore its inner structure and increase facial volume that has been lost to aging. Sculptra is intended for use in people with healthy immune systems as a one-time treatment regimen of up to four injection sessions that are scheduled about 4-6 weeks apart.

Sculptra is an injectable liquid made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid. It’s the synthetic form of lactic acid, which your body produces naturally following exercise.

Sculptra acts as a bio-activator and extremely powerful collagen stimulator. It stimulates your own collagen, allowing tissue to volumize gradually. Over time, the Poly-L-Lactic Acid dissipates as your own tissue takes its place. Since the product triggers your body to build its own collagen, results are not immediate and can take anywhere from 4-6 months.

Patients will continue seeing changes through the 9th month, and at that time full results are expected.

Sculptra is not for patients who need instant gratification. But if you can be patient, the results are absolutely worth the wait.

Sculptra will last 2-3 years once the series of treatments are completed. So while it is a bit more costly than H.A. fillers, patients often justify spending a little more for the time in which they can enjoy results. Most fillers only last a year at the most so Sculptra is considered a great investment.
